Terms & Conditions

These terms help keep our lessons organised, fair and enjoyable for every OnCourt player and family. They apply to all group lessons, private lessons, Mini Matchplays, clinics and academy activities.

Annual registration: R150 per player, per calendar year. Current programme fees and available lesson times are shared directly with families on request.

1. Payments & billing

1. Lessons are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are issued on or around the 25th of each month for the following month’s lessons.
2. Payment is due by the 7th of the invoiced month, unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.
3. The first invoice of the year is issued in late December for January lessons. The final invoice is issued on or around 25 November to cover the remainder of the year’s programme.
4. Payment confirms and secures the agreed lesson time. Once a player, parent or guardian and coach have agreed a time slot, it is considered a regular booking and does not need weekly confirmation.
5. Late or non-payment may result in a suspended lesson booking or the loss of a reserved time slot until the account is up to date.

2. Cancellation & termination

1. One full calendar month’s written notice is required if a player wishes to end lessons.
2. Please send notice by email to oncourtperformanceacademy@gmail.com. Verbal messages or WhatsApp messages do not count as formal notice of termination.
3. Any outstanding balance remains payable throughout the notice period.

3. Missed, cancelled & alternative lessons

Sickness

Where possible, one alternative lesson may be offered when a player is ill. If the offered alternative cannot be attended, that lesson is forfeited. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice where possible.

Rain, lightning & extreme heat

Lessons cancelled because of rain, lightning within 10 km, or extreme heat of 38°C and above will be rescheduled where possible. If a player cannot attend the alternative lesson, the lesson is forfeited.

Other commitments

Alternative lessons are not offered for school sport, social events, holidays, tiredness or forgotten lessons.

School sport changes

One lesson-time adjustment per term may be considered for a school sport schedule, subject to coach and court availability.

Coach absence & no communication

If a coach is unavailable, an alternative lesson will be offered. If that alternative cannot be attended, the lesson is forfeited. A missed lesson without communication is also forfeited.

4. Conduct on and around court

Parents & guardians

1. Support a positive environment built on respect, enjoyment and effort.
2. Help players arrive prepared with suitable tennis clothing, a cap or visor, sunscreen, towel, water bottle and racket.
3. Support professional coaching decisions and raise concerns directly with a coach at an appropriate time.
4. Please do not coach, comment to, or interfere with players from outside the court during a lesson.

Players

1. Bring a committed, disciplined and positive attitude to every session.
2. Respect fellow players, parents, coaches and the court environment.
3. Arrive about 10 minutes early to warm up and be ready to start on time.
4. Take part fully in drills, match play and ball collection with a positive mindset.

Our coaches

Our coaches are committed to the players’ holistic development and to clear communication about progress and coaching decisions. Parent conversations are welcomed at suitable, scheduled times.

5. Communication & schedules

The academy communicates through WhatsApp, email and telephone calls. To give every player our full attention, please avoid communicating with coaches while a lesson is in progress. Lesson schedules are available through the academy scheduling app.

6. Attendance & progress

Regular weekly attendance is strongly encouraged. Tennis development takes consistency; progress cannot be guaranteed when attendance is irregular.

7. Risk, liability & personal information

Tennis and related academy activities involve inherent risks. By enrolling a player, parents and guardians acknowledge those risks. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OnCourt Performance Academy, its owners, directors, staff and associates are not liable for injury, loss, property damage or claims arising during lessons, events or academy activities.

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

8. Acceptance & updates

Enrolment in the academy and/or payment of an invoice confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions. OnCourt Performance Academy may update these terms when needed and will give families reasonable notice of material changes.
